TOPICS FOR CHURCH AUDIENCES and WOMEN’S RETREATS

KEEPING YOUR COOL WHEN THINGS GET HOT! Every mom knows the feeling…the kids, the house, the dog, the mess, the confusion, the frustration all building up until you just want to SCREAM or worse! What’s a mom to do? In this session, you’ll laugh along with Mary, appreciate her candor as she shares her own challenges as an “out of control Mom,” and you’ll learn seven practical ideas to help you cope with those times when the last thing you want to hear is, “Mommy!” (Designed especially for MOPS, SAMmys, and other moms’ groups, 30 to 45 minutes, plus discussion questions)

**********

The following topics can be adapted for 45 minute keynotes, half-day events, and weekend-long retreats:

HELP, LORD! MY LIFE’S A GAME OF TWISTER!
“Right foot, red!” It’s a bad hair day. “Left hand, yellow!” You’re caught in a traffic jam–or a tragedy. Life has a way of twisting up in knots–physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Based on her book, Mary will help you examine the hassles, headaches and heartaches of life with humor and hope from God’s word. (Based on 2 Corinthians 4:7-9, 16-18, and others.)

WOMAN UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Is your foundation a little saggy? Are your walls out of plumb and your plaster a little cracked? Are you feeling a little “off level”? Are you missing a few shingles? If so, get ready for a “whole house” remodeling, all according to God’s blueprint for our lives from Colossians 2:6-7: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (NIV)
You’ll be thinking, laughing, and rejoicing as God “levels” you according to His perfect balance and rebuilds you according to His perfect plan. You’ll come away with your foundation built solidly on Christ, your faith beams reinforced, and your outlook rewired according to God’s “building code.” (Based on Colossians 2:6-7,1 Corinthians 3:16-17 and others.)

WHEN DID I STOP BEING BARBIE & BECOME MRS. POTATO HEAD?
Work of art, or piece of work? Who is that woman in the mirror? What does the media tell us? What does God say? We are fearfully and wonderfully made, created by the Master Designer Himself! But we don’t always feel that way, do we?
Laugh along with Mary Pierce as she teaches truth from the Word about our value and beauty in God’s eyes. Learn to see yourself in a whole new light, and begin to accept yourself–just the way you are–beloved and beautiful! (Based on Psalm 139 and other passages.)

CONFESSIONS OF A PRAYER WIMP
Wondering if God hears your prayers? Longing to be less prayer wimp and more prayer warrior? Mary Pierce, with wit and wisdom, shares stories of doubt and faith, discouragement and triumph. Building on solid teaching from God’s Word, she shares a powerful testimony to the wonder of God’s faithfulness and unconditional love for us. (Based on Philippians 4:6ff, Psalm 34, Psalm 37 and others.)

What Others Are Saying About Mary Pierce’s Church & Retreat Presentations:

“Mary Pierce is a woman who has a warm relationship with God. She has a special glow of happiness that speaks of her love and trust in God. Her down-to-earth personality is so enjoyable and she evangelizes with humor. Mary’s insights are enlightening, helping each person to reflect on her own experiences and chuckling at life’s lessons and encouraging one to change attitudes. Mary led a day of reflection for us, the women of St. James the Greater Parish. She affirmed, delighted and challenged us as we laughed together last year with the topic: WOMAN UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Everyone present asked if we would please have her come again. Mary did return and helped us explore: IT’S A JUNGLE OUT THERE. She helped us look at how to balance our lives in the midst of the responsibilities, concerns, activities and stresses of life.Thank you, Mary, for being the woman you are!Thank you for walking with so many of us, helping us laugh and find the JOY in our daily lives!”
